Diego Sobejano is a partner at Arias SLP. He has ten years of experience in disputes of all kinds, acquired in the most important national and international law firms.
Diego has represented clients in both institutional and ad hoc arbitrations of very diverse nature, but is especially experienced in national and international construction disputes. Before the Spanish courts, he has handled matters of all kinds, including appeals before the Spanish Constitutional Court and the Civil Chamber of the Spanish Supreme Court. His practice spans contractual and non-contractual liability, recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards, insurance disputes, corporate and financial litigation, M&A disputes, damages claims arising from antitrust infringements, and auditors’ liability. He has also participated in mediation proceedings.
Diego was an Associate Lecturer in Private Law at IE University from 2020 to 2025, where he taught courses on Property, Contract, and Torts. Since 2026, he has been a lecturer on the Master's Degree in Business Law, Arbitration and ADR at ISDE.
Diego graduated in Law and Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2015, having studied the third year of that degree at the University of Cambridge. Thanks to a scholarship from the La Caixa Foundation, he also studied for and obtained an LLM degree from the University of Oxford, where he specialised in civil and commercial law.
Diego is the author of several academic publications, mainly in the field of Private law. He has also been Secretary of the Working Group of the Commission for the Inclusion of Disability in Arbitration (CEIA-CINDA), entrusted with drafting a code of good practices in this field. Diego is a member of the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club and deputy co-director of its journal, Iurgium.
